Poem Artwork

waves slapping against the boat
rock it like passions rhythm
as thoughts of you ensue

Garth's "if tomorrow never comes"
spills over me like tears as I dream of us with eyes wide open

espying an early moon in still sky
mating with  breezes passing by
all becoming one in the approaching dusk

mind meanders over the water
I am lulled into the azure ambience
as all that's deadwood disappears

there is such a presence about this poem and a surrender to soul. I love it. your final stanza is really strong and excellent use of alliteration in all three lines. I'm particularly drawn to this one as you connect to elements of nature and also with what lies within yourself. Dawn

Remarkable colors blended as poetic art.

I am always amazed at how the disparate elements around us, nature, sound, colors, sensation, can elevate the heart and soul to new heights of hope.

You have captured that here Eileen the curious. May your days at the lake bathe you in showers of wonder and healing.

This is such a wonderfully soothing write. I adore the water so felt I was drifting along with you here 'into the azure ambience'...with and without the music this has a lovely pace with imagery that really transports the reader. As ever, a superb poem Eileen ;) Love Panda :)

We'd probably all be better off if we could only get rid of our deadwood. And I like that Garth song, too.

"as all that's deadwood disappears."

I like this image as it promises a letting go of the past. And an embracing of the future...

Unique use of words and metaphors...

(It's past 1:30 & I'm tightly strung and along comes....)
Fingers tapping antidote
Humming. . . . .
Laughing. . . . .
Ports vanishing
New horizons appear
The vogage begins
The sails unfold
Catch the winds
New stories now to be told
'If Tomorrow. . .
Fun
Comes.
A very relaxing poem
That can be sung to even more relaxing music.
