Poem Artwork

Creator gave me another day to live
Surrounded by sparkling sunlight
I greet the morning with gladness
Knowing He watches over me
Which is why I can forgive those
Who are hot, cold, inconsiderate

Pure blue sky with snow white clouds
Soon another  summer will be gone
Just like the love and friendship of some
That come and go like the seasons
Just when it seems you can count on them
They disappear into other relationships

Lush green grass abundant with plants
Flowers in such variety to cause gasps
Roses like red velvet, irises like blue silk
Nature takes my breath away each day
Unlike fickle humanity that disappoints
Vacuous pals, there only when it suits them

Trees stalwart sentinels reaching towards sky
Mountains topped like vanilla ice cream cones
Oceans with waves cresting in white foam
That crash upon sultry sandy beaches
Praise God for a few friends who never waver
Steadfast like Creator, I pity the other kind

Prtty Intense feeling Ehhhh E.... It takes all kinds, your strong enought to sipher through the good and bad eggs, some may have a good or bad day. I like this poem, of vibrant energy and imagery in many lines my friend! Friendships seem to be for a Reason, A SEason or a Lifetime anyway, I'm finding out too! GREat poem, with intense feelings. WE do look forward to the sun coming out, and another day to feel Blessed in Gods' forgiveness through another day! Let's hope the friendship we started lasts, it takes 2- as in any relationship, YOur poem speak truths! I like the quality of friendship I feel in you! Warm HuGs! *She*oxo

A real tribute to God for His creation and its unfailing wonder and beauty. It's sad that some waste opportunities for solid friendships, but as you portray, we can praise God for even a few steadfast friends.

The "other kind" has trouble recognizing themselves as well as friends. I'm pretty steady...I guess those of us who like ourselves have the ability to be more dedicated to real friends...like you Sis! Your pen gets me to tinking about the quality in friends.
Love,
Susan

I really like this poem, Eileen...A KEEPER. Hmmm...got me to thinking...friendships CAN be compared to eggs: some sunny-side-up, hard-boiled, scrambled...yup...some even [be]deviled! HA! And thinking the "cracked" ones are the best :o)...

Seeing the joy in the sun coming up each day is a glorious way to look at the world and everythng in it. If things are shifting around you, then new karma is setting up for you. When one door closes and is finished, look to the next door opening.

Good work again.

There you go, Eileen! While this is a sad acknowledgement of reality, it is also the ever affirming of love for nature. Superb.

Well I have long known you're a good cracked egg, so I hope we are friends always. This poem is lovely, good contrast between nature and humanity. Incidentally I love black roses, hard to find, but they exist. Victor

Now you know why I advocate to plough a lone furrow in life..
Friends are whimsical, and come and go like a puff of smoke....if you find a true friend...treasure that relationship..

Love and Blessings

A true friend is one who you can tell your deepest sorrow to.
Your inner secrets to.
Who won't judge you
Who accepts you for who you are
Crown full of stars. . . .
By far. . .
One of the best poems I ever read
So far.
