As I look into the dark of your eyes I see in the deepest parts mystery, but also goodness, friendship, and laughter As they express more and more I see passion subtleties cross your face and I see pain and tears, how much have you kept from me all these years
Your eyes begin to search mine, as they do I see deeper into you. I wonder if you are seeing me in the same way, and I want to say, do you see my need. But, your eyes are showing me your desire, I don't want to suppress, but to feed, for my love is on fire
No matter my need you always come first, even in the worst of times. I learned early that prosperous relationships require one person to be a bit more giving than the other. It happened that it was easier for me to give, so we continue to live, and grow closer
Even if I must at times feel low, there is no fear, for I know, that in time you always share all that you are with me. So, I will continue to lose myself in your eyes knowing I will be surprised, as you reveal to me more and more of your mystery

It is good when a couple can look deeply into each other's eyes with nakedness, honesty and vulnerability, and with no fear of what they might find there. Then is the eye-light bright and true, and the lovers able to withstand any measures of joy or pain in the assurance of togetherness. It is perhaps sad when too many see only emptiness, weariness or, most hurtful of all, blank apathy reflecting back to them which signals a deathly lack of emotional engagement. You have touched on very deep and emotive subjects here, Eileen, and do so with much beauty, depth and vision. Wonderful bittersweetness here. TY K xx

Since I can't see someone's eyes, I listen to their voice and the subtle nuances found within their words and vocal expression...many mysteries I discover there. So yes I can relate to this piece.. well done Eileen.
