This is so true-we should not just throw it away but work on it. Shine it up so it can be bright each day. This is what i do in my relationship. I would not throw him away but when it gets rusty-we rekindle the fire.

Easy to say Eileen
But truly I hate throwing away things

I try fixing but never get around to it

This is quite relevant to our present-day world which needs cleaning as massive corrossion had set in but which type of paint should we use is the question everybody is asking. Great write. GBQ

Love it...though I know some mighty rusty people.

Sometimes it is just better to know you done all you can and move on.

(I've painted dozens of metal cabinets in my lifetime.)

"If corrosion sets in cleaning it up should be a must." Gotta love this wisdom, Eileen! With not much effort, we can mend many things in our lives.
And keeping de-ruster is a must for me, as I always find another use for somethg that seems worn-out with age (double-car garage is proof of that :o). Even keep WD-40 spray handy for creakin'/achin' joints...really, it works!

Yes Eileen a wise parble of the de rut it.. Relationships are Gods gift to keep us companions. If he send them to us even more valuable to patch up misunderstandings not just throw them away and kill the memories for which the relationship stood. A beautiful way of patching this one for those that have lost relationships for giving up and misunderstandings..

Ask Ed K how does a plastic flamingo rust...? As well relationships do rust, but it is up to us to keep them in shape, as a little rustoleum goes a long way to keep relationships whole...interestingly thought out litte write, dear lady...Ed & Rufuz (w00f)

This is great...makes one see the good in their fellow man, or significant other. Also, this makes me wish I hadn't give my old metal cabnet in classroom away! Point made and understood in two ways, great write, very creative and clever.

Good thoughts Eileen!Things must not be neglected just because it is gonna have wear and tear and even rusts.We should be able to wipe the dusts between distances and differences and find out ways to make it stronger and new each day.
