Ephemeral eddies in estuaries of evanescent emmisaries time that tests the tickles of our treasures~meandering moments making memories much more meaningful~love limited to laconic language leaving loquacious laments arousing an argumentative attitude alien to amour and therefore the tides turn while waves wiggle wickedly with whimsy.
~etw~
In other words we spend more time arguing about love than we do living it!;-)
So clever, Eileen. The sense gets stronger and sharper with every change of alliteration... from the sleepy "e"s to the whipped up "w"s. It's certainly not easy to do this stuff well and as though unforced, but you make it seem exceedingly effortless. Well done, Waldron! :)) TY Kate xx
I loved this E, the way you used the language, and your message is very lovely. Living in love and loving living.
Thank you for this,
Peace, Love, and light,
Amber "V"
Nice picture! How wonderfully and creatively stated! Yes, you are so right mankind does spend more time arguing about love than living it, such a shame...

or even loving it Minx? Extremely clever and as ever masterfully penned. The words flow beautifully and I loved it Lady M. Imp ;) x
Well Eileen you are so right, too many of the young ones today seem to find it easier to argue then to love, heartbreaking but true. Thank you for sharing.
Eileen, you are a gifted writer, and you only keep getting better and better! What's your secret?? Anyway, I loved this write, and I love you too! Very well done yet again; brava!

It delivers a powerful message!!
Beautifully written!!

I do love the whimsey in this and the abundance of alliteration, ET. In another vein entirely, the heavy alliteration reminds me of some alliterative word games my kids used to play at the dinner table and the roars of laughter at each attempt. Now how did I ever get sidetracked from anything about love!

Instead of calling it love we could call it, blank, or

Clever form to this piece, Eileen and "you can say that again." We certainly do spend more time arguing, (be it about love or anything else) than we do living and enjoying life. Great job!!
Take care,
Sherry
I love the metre and the rythym; the subtle ease into each alph leading. Did you also read the dictionary as I did at 12? A very boring summer long ago.
An excellent write! I, too, hate to fight. Do have some wine but watch the cheese; he's really pushing cheese these days.

Well stated Eileen... most assuredly agree with you, love Holly
Erotic love was conceived in the eleventh century and formalized into contemporary troubador poetry. It was modeled on the service of love which a feudal vassal owed his lord. Medieval sex mores conjoined two contradictory ideas about women; women were evil and dangerous; Women were lovely and sexual - out of the amalgam of these two ideas flowed a hypocritical eroticism. Seems that organized religion is associated with a hypocritical need for clandestine, dishonest love relationships and use the bible to interpret their own censure, and that of others, of the burning presence of divine love. There is fulfillment in sexual ecstasy,
"When she receives her beloved, woman is dwelt in, visited, as was the Virgin by the Holy Ghost, as is the believer by the Host. This is what explains the obscene resemblance between pious hymns and erotic songs; it is not that mystical love always has a sexual character, but that the sexuality of the woman in love is tinged with mysticism. 'My God, my adored one, my lord and master'- the same words fall from the lips of the saint on her knees and the loving woman on her bed; the one offers her flesh to the thunderbolt of Christ, she stretches out her hands to receive the stigmata of the Cross, she calls for the burning presence of divine love; the other, also, offers and awaits; thunderbolt, dart, arrow, are incarnated in the male sex organ. Whimsical, Eileen...
Glad you translated...you used words I've never heard before! At a loss for words! You, my dear, are a fount of knowledge and one of my favorites: you challenge, you inspire, you encourage. Take a bow, Eileen, you've outdone yourself!
