The world is strange
yes ,it's deranged,though
I try to make a change
everything stays the same
except the weather
the rain streaking down
my window pane,in a gentle
refrain,caresses my brain
dreary fog in darker hues
chased the sun,brought new
hues, i 'm so thankful for
the dimness a respite from
the suns brightness,which
hardly ever goes away, for
a nice dark rainy day
now back to the worlds
insanity,that rivals the
lovers of vanity,whatever
happened to common sense
is it really lost in past tense
we need someone to call it
hence ,in order to make a
proper defence,and i'm not
just playing with words,we
need leaders to be more than
nerds, to help us right this
nations wrongs,so please
before you vote,think twice
we need those who know how
to sacrifice
"...to sacrifice their own agenda for the good of the country..." dear Eileen, that's like waiting to find a honest politician without deep pockets and flying elephants and donkies over Washington DC.
Everyone should vote according to his/her ideal choice of a good leader, one whom they believe in making America a better place. Common sense will take an active part in the choice of leadership.

To be willing to admit they are wrong when a policy won't
work! To be honest about what they know can't be done in
an economy that is bankrupt,and both Dems and Reps, besides
we the people have lived beyond our means and are responsible
for the mess we're in. ...No matter who wins, it will be a struggle
to rebuild our economy,plus our other problems, and it calls for sacrifice from all of us!We have to pay now, for our profligate ways.
And that's just for starters, dear Gene;-)
What is nearest the heart is never mentioned, sacrifice is always nearest the heart, but the world is run by ego driven smart alecs, in most places, some even have extensive education, but what its used for is what is important, right? You hit it on the nail!
