Moon and Sea Commune

Poem Artwork

As the wondrous waves crested, the lovely ambience
of the moment was arrested, and beams in the middle
of the moon danced, leaving the whimsical water
entranced...

On shore some creatures of the night scuttled to
the sea to forage for food, while others were in a
more amourous mood...

Deep in the ocean, a mating of minds between the
vertabates and mammals of all kinds, while most
would descend at days end, as moonlit messages
reached their receptors..

Some would call it a night, while others would have
flights of fancy that made them all dancy, making the
undersea world look like a mad twirl, of inebriated
fish enjoying their fondest wish...

Meanwhile the bubbly waters communed with the moon
as the moonbeams flit in a fandango , and sand crabs on
shore clicked their claws providing a beat to enhance the
music of the dance...

Just another party hosted by the moon as it caresses the
night from its heavenly sight, giving joy to the creatures
who live under its beam, causing silvery rays to shiver
the spleen, of all who understand the joy of its gleam.

Eileen,
The poem is laced with the energy and vitality of a living breathing ecosystem and that vitality is so well conveyed in your rhythms and rhyme schemes, the middle and end rhymes very effective and flowing easily and naturally. Great and beautiful work!

Few humans were invited,
But I did the party attend,
Stayed right up to the end,
Watched the moon & sea their elbows bend,
Both got drunk & the sea really stunk,
All of us that did attend were really though excited...ed

You done what they said "painting a marvelous landscape scene with words" and ever more, giving the seas its dues, because we all are drawn to it in awe, like we were part of it eons ago.
Perfect

This is indeed beautiful, Eileen. Each stanza a gem...and your
most interesting rhymes (a skill I'll never cease to envy). You
have captured so many of the reasons why I love the ocean in all
its moods. -gene.
