Good memories are what send us forward. This poem reads like it's directed to one person in particular; a very effective style, because it draws the reader in, as if the note were addressed to him or her.

... now THIS is unconditional love, freely given, appreciating all, asking nothing in return other than the other person's happiness. Such a love has mysteriously sown an irrevocable treasure into the soul and "you" still bask in the warmth/afterglow its glory. Such a telling line, Eileen, the fact that: "I can't regret the
things we DIDN'T do"; just the memories of what was are sufficient. Beautiful sentiments expressed gracefully and with a generous dignity. xx
