Poem Artwork

so beguiling were his words
most beautiful ever heard
he took her to the stars
to heights beyond reality
but, romance had no chance
for he was a solo dance

so delightful was his charm
he never meant to do harm
she knew there'd be pain
her love the kind that remained
his wandring eye was never still
but,he made no promises to fill

so when the final bell did chime
he said they had lost their rhyme
she was totally prepared
knowing he never truly cared
she never regretted the affair
he gave her pleasure to treasure

at times she yearns for him so much
perhaps  a word, a glimpse, a touch
but he is still like the bountiful bee
with all the blooms, making his honey
to him, the new buds are a must
yesterday's flowers he sees as dust

so, beware pretty flower
to some
you're only worth an hour

etw

Wow, big implications could be made from these poetic verses! The user who spreads his pollen, beware? No matter the subtle hint of bitters it is beautifully written!

Eileen,
A parable wrapped in choice words, the lesson true and meaningful. My mother used to say to my sister of such men, "Watch him, he's not without charm."

Beautifully rhymed and shows how one sided nature can be yet life is the result of that busy bee's pollen he deposits.
