You touched something that rare are those who know what the intelect means. I tried with different words and in different ways to say that the intellect is the one who plays mean tricks on us. It is limited to what it sees and to what it knows. It connot conceive either abstract, or spiritual dimensions. Beware of it and rely on your faith and your will which is in your heart. In fact everyone can have more from this life or in life beyond. Don't escape to any unknown horizons, Your kingdom is yourself. Well done Eileen

Ah, this is one of those precious pieces of poetry that can be taken a number of ways. You have woven a mystery within the lines, leaving it for the reader to decipher. There is a sadness to your words, but yet there is steel resolve which backs them up. I'm betting on the steel resolve to win out over the sadness.

horizons that were booked for two
but only one showed up

We should ride a couple of Appaloosa ponies past midnight on the prairie happily screaming like two possessed ghost and scare the hell of the jeebezes from the moon, then we can the scared ones around say "enough!"
