I woke up this morning with this dear friend in my thoughts and my heart. I feel she walks in my Mother's footsteps and watches over me for her.

I opened my eyes and there was the sun,
Shinning so bright in the day.
For all I could see , was your face,

So sincere and oh so kind.
I just couldn't help but smile back,
It put a kind thought in my mind.

I felt your touch with the morning breeze,
As it brushed against my face.
My heart was beating with much joy,
As if it was involved in a race.

The rest of the day was warm,
From the glow that you had shared.
Just one simple smile,
That showed you really cared.

Then came the rain at the end of the day,
It caused me to shed a tear.
For that's when I oped my eyes,
And saw that you weren't here.
