Just watching the snow flakes falling and thinking about the many things we can do to help make others smile at this time of the year.Children are so innocent, they don't realize how happy they make us just watching them, they do it willingly.

I woke up this morning and
Surprised at what I could see.
Like a fresh early morn,
There was snow to my knees.
I looked a little farther to see,
The children happy at play.
I could very well imagine,
They'd be there most of the day.
Some fancy fat snowmen,
All dressed in warm clothes.
Some stood on a slant,
with a stick for their nose.
The shrill sounds of laughter,
could be heard far and loud,
Smiles on their faces,
Their heads in the clouds.
Little ones, with older ones,
Oh what joy at this time of year,
As they skate and enjoy the fun,
To watch them play without fear.
I tell them the stories,
Of when I was a young girl.
They just shrud their heads,
As if it were another world.
But it is so true to the heart,
This is a magical season.
You really want to help people out,
For no special reason.
