There is always so much excitment as we get closer to Christmas Day, what about the day after, what do we feel.

It's the day after Christmas,
The rush has all gone away.
We're both tired and excited,
For the way we spent our day.

Time to sit and relax now,
We enjoy the gifts that we were given.
We're thankful for the things we got,
And for the lives that we've been given.

We think of the year gone by,
And wonder, what will the new one bring.
We're happy now as we celebrate,
The Birth of the New Born King.

It's the day after Christmas day,
So much to be thankful for.
All the food and treats to enjoy,
And our loved ones at the door.

Another year to wait and see,
What joy we'll have to share.
What gifts we can give to others,
To show how much we care.

A gift of love, be generous,
We've got so much to give each day.
We don't have to wait for Christmas,
We can share it in so many ways.

It's the day after Christmas day,
Now while our hearts are all aflow.
Give a thought to those close by,
Not only those you know.
