Sometimes distance can come between a relationship of friendship through the years, you don't see it happening, until one day you turn around and wonder, where your lifetime friend has gone or what have you done and how can you get back, what is precious to you. It is never too late. A Friendship is a very special gift that should never be just put aside espically when our lives become hectic, you never know when you will need that friend.

Forever you were part of my life,
You were my friend over the years,
Together like sisters we were,
There to comfort and fight away tears.

I was always like a sister to you ,
And you were like one of mine,
So tell me my dear friend,
What have we done over time.

We've fallen into lives of our own,
We've forgotten what we have shared,
We've put aside the friendship we've grown,
We've forgotten how much we've cared.

But not for a moment will I let this be,
I won't give up without a fight,
Cause I know deep within your heart,
You and I have to do  what is right.

We have forgotten to pick up the phone,
We've forgotten to jot down a line,
We've just put aside a special friendship,
That once was your's and mine.

But it's okay, it's never too late,
To put things right back on track,
Not for once have I tossed you aside,
It's time to get that friendship back.

Never once have I forgotten you,
Or your friendship that I need,
