Another Day Gone

I don't know where I was today,
Or the important things I had to do,
One minute I was all alert,
The next, another day gone and through.

Not keeping focused on the day,
Or the chores I had to do,
I felt so uneasy just trying,
To just consentrate on you.

Next thing you were standing here,
Where did my whole day go,
I never caught one minute of it,
Where it went, I'll never know.

My mind just kept on wandering,
From one thing to the next thought,
I tried all day to focus,
But with my mind I fought.

I know that you weren't well,
My workload it was filled,
But when the day was gone and pass,
The thought of it made me ill.

A good nights rest is what I need,
I guess I'm just run down,
And if I learn to take it slow,
My day it will be found.
