There are so many things I love doing and it seems there is never enough time to do all, I usually end up getting to a few but never all.I am told I need to prioritize things on my list and get to them one at a time. Well that is indeed a wonderful idea, where do I start. I keep coming back to the most important of all

       

The Thing I Like Best

I like to sit back with the grandkids,
Sing songs or just play with toys,
Play house with the girls,
Then drive trucks with the boys.
I like to kick back with a good book,
Relax and maybe rest awhile,
But then I think of the things I could do,
If I just spend more time with each child.
I like to write down some poetry,
Put all my thoughts in a book,
Maybe trip out to the kitchen,
And show the family I can still cook.
I'd like to make a new quilt or knit,
Sketch a picture or watch some tv,
 But if my grandkids didn't come first,
They'd wonder what's wrong with me.
I guess the book it will be there tomorrow,
I can sew when they're down for a rest,
I guess spending time with the kids ,
Is the real thing I like doing best best.
