Diamonds From Heaven

I was on my way to take care of the grandchildren at 6:15 am. and the roads looked so pretty almost like it glittered with diamonds. I could picture them as they were softly falling from the sky. A beautiful morning to be up and about.

     Diamonds From Heaven

I see it falling from the sky,
A sprinkle here and there,
All those diamonds from heaven,
Fall to the earth to share.
The buses have stopped running,
They say a storm is on its way,
Because those diamonds from heaven,
Are going to fall all day.
The roads, they will get slippery,
From the snowflakes in the sky,
They remind me of diamonds from heaven,
Dangerous, yet I don't know why.
Little bits of cotton balls,
All in a glitter as they come,
Falling gently over the grounds,
Like diamonds from heaven, every one.
So very pretty to look at,
So gracious and precious to see,
All those tiny diamonds from heaven,
Dressed for you and me, in their finery.

Now I believe it. I've often said when I get to heaven My crown will have diamonds-not stars. This is sweet.

Rose this is so beautiful, I love the fresh fall of snow, very much like yourself, I also find it magical. Remember a couple of years ago on a very cold winter night the walk we took in the beautiful snow holding on to each other. Wasn't that also a delight, much like this poem.

Little River by Dadfire

Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
