It's strange how life works, we sit there in agony, but as long as we are comfortable we feel as though we can jump over the moon. We think in our minds we don't feel a day older and then we try to do things we did twenty years ago and our bodies just about go in shock. We all have to go through it and some of us don't accept it as well as others but it's true , life must go on.

              Life Must Go On

Something has changed, I don't know when,
My body just doesn't want to move like before,
It aches all the time and causes great pain,
I can't seem to do what I've done anymore.

I do understand, that we all must age,
Getting old is a stage, and it don't take too long,
We'll all get grey and some lose their hair,
We have to accept it cause life must go on.

Can't seem to see things or hear as well,
Some of us can't straighten up anymore,
Can't seem to travel as far in the car,
When we fall down, can't get up of the floor.

We think we are as young as years gone by,
But the youth is just in our head and heart,
We can walk just as far as we once did,
Just now we need an extra days start.

Our style has changed in our line of clothes,
It isn't as short as we once wore,
Our dollars we stretch farther then we once did,
Cause Old age pension don't give us more.

We'll get our flu shots and fight of the cold,
Spend time with  friends, where we belong,
Accept the life that's come our way,
Grow old with dignity, cause life must go on.
