Again my grandchildren are in my heart and mind. I look forward to our time together each day as I sit with them and watch them at play, I have had the opportunity to meet their imaginary friends and have tea parties with them. I will never count the many kisses and hugs that have been given to me or tell how many times I've been told "Nanny I love you". I will tell you this each kiss and hug and I love you is deeply treasured.

The Sight of Innocence

A little white rabbit is clutched in her hand,
He snuggles into his comfy blankie,
A little girl, her name is Shelby,
Little Freddy named after his daddy.

Lovingly, they spend time together,
They make time to laugh sing and play,
Enjoying there childhood time,
As Nanny sits with them day after day.

One more kiss and another hug,
With each day another story is told,
Coloring time, or play dough,
Or a breathtaking walk in the cold.

Imaginary friends join us for tea,
Bea, her friend arrives just in time,
Another special memory created,
Made up in her imaginary mind.

He's still so young, but tags along,
With his big sister everyday,
Loving the time they spend together,
Precious memories, while at play.

Nanny I'm tired, comes from her voice,
I settle her down with faithful Gabby,
Freddy then joins her in dreamland,
As he closely snuggles his soft blankie.

One more kiss and another hug,
A song softly sang for them to sleep,
Soon they'll join the magical world,
A world of wonderful dreams to keep.

Their last words gently spoken are,
Remember that, I love you so,
As we blow kisses to each other,
Then of to their magical world they go.

This is so beautiful, reminds me of my time with my little grandson, and great-grandaughters. Something I consider very precious, out bonding time.

Love you,
Lina
