We have to cherish every moment of happiness given to us, loving everything we do and thinking of how this gift was given to only a few. We not only live for the moment but can only imagine what the future holds in store for us. Things can only look up from here on.

           As Time Goes By

Once in a lifetime, happiness comes,
Following you day after day,
Accepting all that life has to offer,
Letting nothing stand in your way.

As time goes by, you do believe,
This gift was chosen for you,
You embrace every moment of it,
This gift  given to only a few.

Daydreaming of the future to come,
Overpowered by a love so true ,
As time goes by, you believe more,
This is a wondrous gift, meant for two.

Longing for your time together,
Entwined in each others heart,
Loving one another, as time goes by,
With never a thought to part.

Cherishing the quiet dim lit evenings,
Speaking soft words, only lover's can hear,
Loving one another, as time goes by,
Embracing each, those two lovers who care.

I did enjoy the time that went by, and is now no more. Disconnected by death, it has left me bereft. Life will go on but surely the time went by so fast for 17 years. All I have now are memories and dreams come upon me some nights too. Much appreciated this write of yours.

Dear sister, this is so true. We should be thankful for the love in our lives, as well as all the other opportunities we have been given. There are so many in this world today that haven't been blessed as we have. Love & hugs.
