My Faithful Friend

You are a faithful friend to me,
Always doing things just right,
You stay close by me through the day,
And cuddle me at night.

You talk to me when I am sad,
Always being my faithful friend,
making sure that I would smile,
Once my broken heart would mend.

When I would find a time to rest,
You'd watch over me all day,
Hoping once that I come to,
I'd be ready for some play.

You walk around with your head high,
Keeping yourself perfectly clean,
Trying to be on your best behavior,
Nothing about you can be mean.

You are my faithful friend indeed,
Always pleasing in every way,
Talking me through when I am sad,
Staying close by me every day.

You may shed a bit of fur,
Leave paw prints all around,
 You'll always be my faithful friend,
I'll be there Kitty, when you're down.
