It' St. Patrick's Day Once Again

It's St. Patrick's Day once again
And we'll all be dressed in green,
A joyous celebration to all.
One of the greatest that's ever been seen.

With the luck of the Irish,
St.Patrick born in Scotland in 370 AD
And after his  full life story,
This holiday soon came to be.

His name was Maewyn Succat,
As a teen kidnaped, sold in slavery,
Worked as a sheppard in Ireland,
Escaped on a ship for a long journey.

His folks were Calpurnius & Conhessa,
Prayed for his safe return home,
But Maewyn traveled to France,
To start a life in a monastery alone.

He changed his name to Patrick we find,
Meaning, Father of his people, to do good,
Spreading the word of God around,
Building churches & schools where he could.

There will be parades & fireworks,
To celebrate St. Patrickès Day,
All is wearing green as a symbol,
Of what they believe, in their own way.
