Sometimes I take a long hard look at myself and I think of all the things I would change. Other times I am just tickled pink over my age, my skin and my life, But then every once in a while I get to thinking again. Thats when my husband reminds me, I am perfect just the way I am and I only got to please him and he wouldn't change a single thing about me if he could.
Every Once In A While
I wake up early in the morning, Take a good glance at myself, Then I start to thinking of all the things, That I see that can use some help.
I'm not very happy with my hair, It's too curly and grey's coming through, My skin is dry because it's winter, Can't think of what it is that I should do.
Could lose a few of those extra pounds, Update the clothes that I wear, Maybe if I changed a few of those things, It would make a difference in how I care.
But the more I look in that mirror, The more I like just what I see, Cause every once in a while, I look, And I like the one looking back at me.
Every once in a while, I realize, I'm not bad for the age that I am, Then every once in a while, I realize, I got to look good for one person, my man.
Hey Cuz it's the Dobbin bloodline and the Newfie air you were raised on that make you so famulous, I only got one of the two but hey I'm not complaining.LOL Seriously though you requite right in a marraige it is only each other you have to truly worry about.
Rose; this covers it all!
"But the more I look in that mirror,
The more I like just what I see,
Cause every once in a while, I look,
And I like the one looking back at me."
Awww, this is precious. I am glad your husband accepts you for you. Not many men like that nowadays; you are blessed to have such a fellow! :) Very well done, Rose, enjoyed~
