On A Misty Moon Night Walk
The fog was getting really heavy,
From the rain that fell all day,
It was trying hard to clear up,
But something was getting in the way.
There were shadows in the distance,
They just followed every where I'd go,
It was like another living image,
I don't know what it was searching for.
It seemed a kind of eerie night,
On a misty moon night walk,
I knew that it was shadows I saw,
With a voice I heard, that it could talk.
I wanted to run to somewhere safe,
But there was no place I could go,
To get to safety from this image,
Running faster to and fro.
IT followed me straight through the path,
And down the road to home,
Then I slowly turned to see the shadow,
That had left me running all alone.
The voices that I thought I heard,
Was wind whistling in the trees,
The shadows was my own image,
The height of me upon my knees.
Thanks
Dan
No better time to be out than in the silence of a misty moonlit night. My favorite time to walk, reflect and just enjoy being wrapped in God's embrace! A beautiful write; well done!
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
