It Was Just A Simple Game
It was just a simple game,
Wasn't meant to hurt no one,
Maybe a little too daring,
But only meant as a little fun.
A key found in a pocket,
A bed for two lay on the floor,
Two wine glasses by the candlelight,
He saw as he came through the door.
Nothing really happening,
They were laughing and having fun,
As they sipped their wine by candlelight,
It wasn't meant to hurt anyone.
It was just a simple game they played,
Played as innocently by two,
Just passing away the hours,
A game played by only a few.
Now the tears began to flow,
For something that wasn't meant to be,
As he entered through the door,
For what he wasn't meant to see.
It was just a simple game alright,
That ended with pain and hurt,
All because two people didn't know,
That it was a big mistake to flirt.
