Sometimes it just takes one good friend to turn to when things don't seem to be perfect in your world. And often it isn't easy to turn to a loved one, so often you think of how lucky you are to have a relative or close friend, just someone to tell all your troubles to.

With Pen In Hand

Tonight as I rest here with pen in hand,
I think of all that we have shared,
Some words spoken and others put away,
To  hold in private for another day.
Another time in the quiet all alone,
 Something to think about,
When I'm sitting here at home.
You are someone I can turn to,
When I really need a friend,
I know that I can trust in you,
With you there is no pretend.
So I write my thoughts tonight,
And I make them as clear as can be,
I pray that you will always be near,
I'll be there for you as you are for me.
A special friendship, is what I've found,
 Something sacred to my heart,
I feel honoured, to have you,
And have from the very start.
So tonight with pen in hand,
I think of all that we have shared,
Some words spoken, some set away,
Kept to discuss, for another day.

Nice word sis, yes we are so fortunate to have at least one best friend that we can be open with and trust to be able to tell our souls too. I am blessed I have a couple.

Rose, I am fortunate in that I too have a friend that I can share my good and bad times, as well as wanting to know everything that is happening in their life. And we are not afraid to share sometimes brutal honesty becuase we know when it's over...we're still friends.

Thanks for sharing,
Dan

To be such a friend as this would indeed be an honour and a gift. I know you are not the type to give your trust or your friedship easily so this tribute is indeed a beautiful one to the person you intended it for. I have no doubt that he/she will be deeply touched and not know what to say in return except a simple thank you and the feeling is no doubt mutual.
Have a great day Cuz,
Fee

What a wonderful tribute to your friend. It's exactly how I feel about my dearest friend.
