Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time in a far away place,
There stood a lonely, lovely Lady,
She waited years for her true Love,
She knew happiness would come to be.

In her heart she could hear him,
The soft whispers in her ear,
True love forever, for this Lady,
Sounds of silence, you could hear.

He would shelter her with protection,
He'd keep her from all fear,
He'd love this Lady and her ways,
Because for her, he true ly cared.

Quite often he would have to travel,
Away from home night after night,
Hoping that his Lady left behind,
With his job would be alright.

Oh yes she often found it lonely,
For she longed to be in his arms,
Letting him sweep her of her feet,
With all his loving charms.

But this Lady fully understood,
What sacrifices her man had made,
To give her everything in life,
 This thought would make her sad.

For all he does, he does for her,
The hours away and true  devotion,
Would strengthen the love between the two,
With a great deal of emotion.

The years will slowly pass,
When time will change the way,
The Loney, lovely lady,
Will have her man at home, to stay.
