My Hero, My Man

He traveled the world , twenty-eight years,
To dangerous places he'd have to go,
Where ever the Military sent him,
He went proudly, never once said no.

After all those years have gone by,
Proudly helping his servicemen,
Helping to enrich their lives,
He'll continue to the end.

 He's worked hard all through his life,
Up all hours of the night,
Saving lives and putting out fires,
Make no wonder, he easily tires.

Devoted nine long years of his life,
He's proudly volunteered his time,
Helping others to survive,
With the thought of help in his mind.

He has always worked hard through life,
To provide for his family and wife,
He has always been my hero, my man,
And I just want others to understand.
