So by now everyone knows I can be a very sentimental person. I cry at weddings and funerals. I cry when my grandchildren give me a Nanny hug, which by the way is a very special hug. I often wonder if they will miss me when I am long left this world. Will they still feel my love around them or will I be just a faded memory.
Will I Be A Faded Memory
We come into this world on loan, To be to be raised by parents, we call our own, Never knowing when that day will come, When we have to return to our other home.
Tears will be shed and hearts will be broken, Just because our time is done here on earth, We didn't know that it would come so soon, We started to die from the day of our birth.
Will the world be a better place now, Without me as part of it for them to see, Will I be remembered or missed more, With each passing day or just a faded memory.
Will they bring me flowers for my birthday, Or visit once in a while, because they care, Will they continue to love me daily, Will they occassionally still shed a tear.
Will time drag by, will they still be lost, In this big world with me gone, Will they love me for who I was, Will their memory of me fade before long.
Will they say a little prayer for me, Just in case I need them, Will they think to have words with me, Will they ever think of me again.
Knowing you and having the pleasure of seeing you interact with your grandchildren I have no doubt in my mind that you will always be one of their life's strongest and sweetest memories. For we as grand parents only have so much time left when we get to our age and we tend to make every second with them count. I know you will always be in their hearts.

Dear Rose, this poem reminded me so much of my own write "Who will remember me", we think alike! I often wonder about what you've asked so well in this write.
Beautiful write from your heart Rose.
