The Bright City Lights

As the evenings seem to draw near,
We open our eyes, to what then appears,
The many lights turn on one by one,
All those bright city lights are lit,
To pave our way on our journey,
Where ever we may decide to travel.
Like a moonlit night as we stroll,
Up to the highest mountain top,
Or down some dusty quiet road.
Just like the candles on a cake,
They seem to brighten our mood.
Those bright city lights are like friends,
They make us realize we are not alone,
Something or someone watches over us.
 It almost  feels  like magic
As we step forward on the balcony,
Or watch high from the rooftop,
Almost reaching for the sky.
Let the lights go out and soon,
We feel lost and alone in the world,
As though we could fall off the earth.
 We prefer to celebrate the nights,
With the bright city lights.
