As we grow older, I think of a few movies we've watched over the years and of how true love really is and use to be. One of my favorite movies was called "Notebook" and to this day I cry when I watch it. I like to feel that it was based upon the relationship my husband and I have. I feel sorry for most of the young one's getting married today for they don't realize that marrage is something they have to work on everyday for one day it will be gone, a long lost memory that we will depend on for someone else to share with us.

Remember Me

When our days are slowly numbered,
And we are growing old with time,
Remember me my darling,
And the memories held in our mind.
Always tell me stories of our lives,
Putting all the love within,
Remember me my darlin,
With every line that you begin.
Tell me of the day we met,
And how we loved our time alone,
Remind me of the things we did,
and of our home sweet home.
Don't let me forget the things,
That I once held so dear ,
Our love, kids and grandchildren,
Remind me of how I cared.
Bring back into my life,
A time when we were young and free,
When our days are slowly numbered,
Darling please remember me.
We've worked so hard to hold on to,
To make our hopes and dreams come true ,
Knowing that the day would come,
When there would be just me and you.
With time our days are numbered,
We'll lose all the joy and love we held,
We'll depend on others to remind us,
Of the memories we once knew so well.
So please all that I ask you,
Is darling, always remember me,
For when you think I have forgetten,
Just share a happy memory.
