So often it doesn’t take too much to make a persons day, I know for me just a simple smile says it all. I don’t think I should have to plead or beg for it, so anyone who reads this may consider of all I could ask for. All I request is a smile, oh to be pleased with the simple things through life, on a serious note, a smile can tell you a lot about how your day is going and how they should speak to you so consider this a small gift to all you meet, the good part is that IT’S FREE.
A Smile Once In A While
I never ask for anything, I know you can’t afford, Just a smile once in a while, The one everybody adored.
I don’t need your full attention, Just ten percent of the time, But a smile once in a while, That would be just fine.
Gentle words we’ve spoken, We’ve shared along the way, Just one smile once in a while, Would really make my day.
We can have our down days, And we can tire before the night, Just give me a smile once in a while, So I’ll know things are alright.
You give them away so freely, To all you’ve spoken to, So give me a smile once in a while, That’s all I’m asking of you.
You know you can’t deny me, What I ask, you can afford, Just give a smile once in a while, yes The one everybody adores.

Sometimes a smile is enough reassurance to our hearts and our minds. It is amazing how something so simple can provide such a sense of peace and hope. A beautiful poem.
Beautiful write darlin, but it seems a certain person seems to think he knows it all when in actuality he knows very little and probably doesn't know how to smile anyway or has a terrible smile and can't show.

Well I think Rose contrary to someone else's dissillusioned state of mind that this is a wonderful poem and that smiles can go a long way...yes even to someone who us suffering from cancer. Beautiful write and a wonderful attitude that more of us should adopt.
