I've had a dream of going home to Nova Scotia For the past twenty three years. I am originally from Newfoundland but soon adopted the beauty of NS. Hubby isn't too sure of what he wants to do but all I'm asking for right now is a little piece of Heaven to call my own for the two of us.

A Little Piece Of Heaven
November 12, 2007
By Rose Marie Rideout

Don’t mean to ask for much,
Just a trailer to call my own,
If you won’t take me back there,
Let me call it my Nova Scotia home.

Just place it in a park there,
When I go back I’ll find a relative,
Who’ll share it with me darling,
Who’ll enjoy the outing as a gift.

Just my little piece of heaven,
A deck built to shelter from the wind,
So when you come to visit me,
I’ll be there to welcome you right in.

It doesn’t have to be too big,
Just room for me and you,
A kitchen, shower and a toilet,
Built with comfort just for two.

A sleeping area, for a bed,
Some storage for our clothes,
Maybe a heater for the dampness,
So the cold don’t bite my toes.

Just a little piece of Heaven,
A little place to call my own,
If you don’t want to move back,
Let me have this Nova Scotia home.

Home is where the heart is...there is no place like home. I Pray you get your slice of heaven no matter where it may be.

In the meantime, bring home a few rocks from your favorite places, and add them to your landscape. My sister does this, and then she's always got a 'piece of heaven - home'

Feeling a bit nostalgic? Life has a way of creeping into our hearts when we least expect it.

God bless you. Kathy

A touching write, your words "A little piece of Heaven" describes how I feel about my farm...it's not as large as many, we don't have as many cattle or in our case goats as many...and it may not meet the needs of many, but for me...it is as you so wonderfully put it, "A little piece of Heaven." Bravo dear friend I hope you get your slice soon! We all deserve that in life!
Blessings,
Joyce B.
