I was in the kitchen baking sugar cookies with my two grandkids and I watched as they thought they were sneaking pieces of the dough, the sounds they made as they ate it told on them. When I asked what are you doing one of them placed their fingers on my cheek as if to say, It's ok with a smile and it was.
Tiny Little Fingers
Tiny little fingers reach to help, Cut the shape of cookies, To place in the tin upon the shelf.
Tiny little fingers, pick up the dough, And place it in their mouth, Where all tasty things should go.
Tiny little fingers, placed upon your face, As they share that special smile, Which sends your heart in a race.
Tiny little fingers will one day be gone, But you’ll remember those happy times, As you baked and sang a song.
Tiny little fingers will one day be, Big and strong and just as helpful, Still in your kitchen, wait and see.

Precious, Rose, this write of a proud Gramma. :) Good thing is, you can load them up with Christmas candies and treats, then return them to their parents. :) *hee hee* Love this one.
A lovely piece, Rose, and a wonderful Christmas memory for me of a time long ago when I 'helped' my grandmother make those scrumptious Christmas cookies, too!
