We go through life having to accept so many things we have no control over. Life may not seem to be fear at times and we do question it although the outcome is we have NO CONTROL and have to take a deep breath and trudge on day after day hoping for the best.

Poem Artwork

I Have No Control

What's that I hear, a call on the phone,
I best answer, but I'm home alone,
Be a big girl, hear what they say,
Hope for the best as you silently pray.

A brother a sister, they're feeling ill,
Can't they come up with one magic pill,
One they can take to make it ok,
Keep them breathing for another day.

Whats this I feel, a tear on my face,
I have no control, my heart's in a race,
It's not time, not now, not today,
Please God I ask, don't take them away.

Greed then sets in and tears at my heart,
Because with them I'm not ready to part,
So I walk the floor, waiting just to hear,
The words my heart can only fear.

Lost in this little world of my own,
Walking the floor as I wait at home,
For things I'm told I have no control,
I have to understand this I am told.

Where should I be, should I go or just stay,
So I'll trust in God not to lead me astray,
For I know over this, I have no control,
I'll pray for the best, and do as I'm told.

Personally, I chose to go. We are still friends. People change. There is huge pain as you point out here. What can I express? Love and best wishes? Yes. That is what I send you.

Such angst that you write so well about, it is very much a blighter of a time. I pray that you find tranquility within. Only moment by moment can one live.
And it is ok to cry, and feel all the God given emotions that rollacoast ones mind at such a time...

God Bless You and prayers for all. How well I know the feeling of "do I stay, do I go". Just puts your head in a tail spin, then I pray and ask God what is best to do. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, I can feel the helplessness and I do know how much it hurts. How I wish there was something I could do to help you, but please know I am here for you.....

Be safe,
Karen

Rose, this is sad & heart rendering, when we face the possibility of losing a loved one...our minds readily goes haywire & we don't know what to do, but we oh so wish we had a magic wand. You've turned this over to the only ONE I know who can lead you and HE is never wrong.

we may not have any control over the circumstance but we do have control over how we push on, deal with it, and carry ourselves-

I know you trust in him as well as I do. Thank God we have our loving cuz there close by to be our eyes, ears and arms at this time.

Things that directly involve our own life, and have no control over, are scary indeed.

Sadness in these lines, Rose. No, we don't have control. HE does. :) All we can do is pray...excellently penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, and Merry Christmas,

Great write, and sometimes we feel we have no control especially if someone lives far away. I know this feeling very, very well as I care for my elderly mother, who lived far away for many years and now lives with me. Try not to worry and trust in above, that is all we can do. And lots of phone calls help also.

Well said Rose and I know all too well the uncertainty of worrying long distance about family members who are rushed to hospital. You are right to worry and it is natural to shed tears when you have the ones you care about ailing and so far from you. Keep in mind though that I am just a phone call away and can be your eyes and arms if needd be. I too will keep my thoughts and prayers with both Billy and Gertie that they are both up and about in no time at all.

Well written Rose. So many things in this life we are not in control of due to the evil in our world. Yet, I like to believe that we are in control of so much of what we do. After all, He did grant us free will. Our trails are mostly of our own choosing. And should we forget to turn our problems over to God then we literally walk the trail we chose to take. God bless you my friend.

Sorrow comes to us all and you can't hide from it but leave it in God's hands and place all your trust in Him.

Ain't it the truth. Life sucks, and then you die, as people say.

All we can do at times like this is pray; even when one doesn't feel like it, they have to do it; it's a command of God's.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

No Control - often a truly sad part of this thing we call Life. And as you say, sometimes about all we can do is pray.
