I am the lucky Nanny to have the opportunity to take care of two of our grandchildren everyday so Mommy & daddy can work. There are some days when we really have a hooten barrel of fun, when Little Freddy plays the Tamborine and Shelby plays the Newfie spoons and Nanny tries to play the Guitar. I believe Freddy is trying out for the lead singer as he does a nasty job on "Rest Awhile" a song Nanny just happened to write for them when they were babes.

Together We Can Make It
By: The Trio

Now hand me over my Tambourine,
Now listen Nanny with all your heart,
Listen to the tune we're gonna play,
Not a word so we can start.

I'll join you with my Spoons Freddy,
I'll play them really good,
I'll even counts the notes Nan,
The way you said I should.

Should I play my old Guitar,
Can I play it to your tune,
I worry that I can`t keep up,
I may come in way too soon.

Just listen to us Nanny,
We`ll lead you the right way,
You`ll have to really concentrate,
We`ll never lead you astray.

Soundin pretty good now,
Just keep an eye on me,
Together we can make it,
We`re the Trio, meant to be.

Such a blessing is your wonderful trio. I can hear the music - all of it wonderful. Making music, together, a wonderful way to instill togetherness. I can still hear my Mom singing to us when we were kids. For me, it is an extra special memory. I sang for and with my boys.

God bless you. Kathy

I love it.
Now this is what I was mentioning last night, when the words flow out natural with no need to be perfect in evey way. You wrote this through the voice of the children as you heard it and it came out free flowing and natural...not forced. Definately one for your book.
