Just trying my hand at a different side of Country music. I don't like this type of songs but I was told this is what people want to hear. I'll give it a try.

Poem Artwork

Please Hold Me Kind Mister

While strolling through the park,
daydreaming of my life,
I overheard a child’s cry,
That cut through me like a knife.
I stopped to take a look around,
The cries went straight to my heart,
I just had to find this child,
Before dark would hide the park.
I followed the cries,
Deep in through the trees,
My heart soon broke into,
At the sight my eyes did see.

Chorus:
I faced a child laying there,
Arms reached out to me so lame,
Please hold me kind Mister,
Don’t let him hurt me again,
I held her frail body close in comfort,
As my tears fell down like rain.

An innocent child laying there,
In her own blood, sweat and tears,
Screaming for someone to help,
For someone who’d really care.
I lift her frail broken body,
With tears I hugged her face,
I could see the fear in her eyes,
Felt her heartbeat as it raced.

Chorus:
I’ll take good care of you,
You’ll be alright you’ll see,
I’ll not let him harm you again,
That’s why God sent you Me.
Don’t cry sweet little darling,
He’ll pay for what he’s done,
He’ll pay dearly I tell you,
They’ll catch him on the run.

Chorus:

The most heart-wrenching sound is the cry of a child. You brought their miseries to the forefront with this bold song...a good Country Music song!

Rose, you take my breath away with this heartwrenching piece. No child should have to suffer at the hands of one who knows better. Children are and always have been the easy target for conquering and yet they are the ones who need to be protected from harm. Yes, you have written a beautiful song that will assuredly resonate throughout, written with heart, compassion and a mother's love.....

Be always safe,
Karen

A most heartrending song; we need to be informed as to what is really going on in our world and do something about it, especially if children are involved. No child deserves to be treated this way! God bless our little boys and girls!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <

That pic says it all in more ways than I ever could! *TEARS, TEARS, TEARS!*

Having seen these situations first hand, and having been one to bend over and carry a helpless child to safety. I know, all too well, how the heart feels. You have captured this moment unbelieveably well. Thank you for sharing and caring.

Well done dear Cuz as I once told you, a good poem which in extension is also a good song, is one that touches the main emotions....sadness, anger, hate, love, laughter etc. In this song you have captured almost all except for laughter but with the rescue perhaps that too is included in a sublime way into the future.

For not liking these kinds of songs, you've penned a powerful one - empathetic compassion in these lines - well done, Rose.

As a witness of few of those, this poem/song brings back those sad memories.
We shouldn't forget, not ever, a crying child.
