I posted Part 1 of this yesterday and here is part 2 with part 3 coming tomorrow. I thank you all for reading and commenting. Things don't always turn out the way we anticipate. as you will read in part 3 tomorrow.
My Little Runaway( Part 2)
The years together went by fast,
But things were never right,
For on his search for her in vain,
She slipped out through the night.
She left her darling child,
With a man she knew would care,
Continued her drifting on the street,
Though her soul was filled with fear.
He searched the streets forever,
Looking for her both night and day,
He searched from morning until night,
He knew she’d lost her way.
His heart it was broken,
For he lived his lonely life again,
Trying to raise this tiny child,
Each day his love to reign.
He couldn’t give up on his belief,
Of one day she would return home,
And fill his heart again with love,
That was meant for him alone.
As the morning light crept in,
He awoke now from his sleep,
To find her curled within his arms,
In dreams of her own so sweet.
A nightmare he tossed aside,
As he held her tight that night,
He knew the love that they had found,
Together proved to be just right.
Oh man! that fellow is in a heck of a rollercoaster with more twist than a corkscrew...but to me, that say of "if you love someone let them go free, if it means it is for you will return" is taken all of it too far, I hope she gets her little selfish fanny slapped once or twice on the third instalment.
Hi Rose; I was gone a couple days, so I read them backwards; then read them right... made a difference...:) Anyway... I too look fwd to Part 3.... :-)) nice story to read more than once or twice... nice. lindalaw
Awwww, I wonder if it was his love for her that brought her back or her reazlizing the strong bond of love they have between each other. In any event return she did....
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
