Something Different

Each new day begins the same,
Make the bed, put coffee on,
Shower and dress,
Go to where I belong.

Think of something new to write,
One that can draw an interest,
I drain my mind for something,
Can’t seem to find my best.

Not resting well at night,
Too many things on my mind,
I toss and turn for hours,
Been that way for a long time.

I write of love and children,
Time to take a different view,
Something that sounds exciting,
Yes something different and new.

I could tell you I’m going away,
In four days I’m going to Milwaukee,
That should be of help for a new write
And set my mind free without a fight.

I’m going to see many groups perform,
An Anniversary we’ll not forget,
Harley Davidson’s 105^th.
We’ll have a blast I bet.

When I come home I’ll share with you,
The excitement and photos too,
Of new found friendships along the way,
A story or maybe a few.

I’ll sign of now so I can think,
Of what words I can leave behind,
I’ll dig deep for awhile,
There must be something in my mind.
