You Are Always On My Mind

My days seem to end here lately before they get started. I'm saying good night as I am saying good morning and to think I just wrote a poem called "Life In The Fast Lane". Sounds to me like I best take my own advice. My mind seems to be go, go, going as I keep in mind so many that I love. But the man I married seems to grab ahold of me and sit me down and remind me it's time to stop and taste the coffee and smell the Rose's as he would like to have me around for a few years yet.

You Are Always On My mind
September 16,2008

I think about you all the time,
Can’t seem to get you off my mind,
You were in my dream last night,
But something didn’t seem just right.
 Today I woke to understand,
You’re an understanding man,
Thank you for always being there,
To help me smile through each tear,
I drag myself, you sit me down,
You tell me, you want me around,
Slow down some and relax dear,
A short life doesn’t seem fear.
I can’t seem to get you off my mind,
You seem to be there all the time,
I love you more with each new day,
I’ll share life with you along the way.
Just help me wipe away another tear,
I know you are one who will care,
I’ll taste the coffee and smell the Rose,
After I clean floors and wash the clothes,
Dust furniture and make the bed,
Ware myself thin like I’m half dead.
I know you are what I need right now,
You’ll teach me to slow down some how,
Just hold me till I cry it out,
You know me best and what I’m all about.
I  can’t get you off my mind,
You seem to be there all the time,
I love you more and more every day,
There’s nothing more I have to say.
Morning, noon and night time to,
All I ever think of is you,

Hello Rose,

Although I like your style of previous writes (divided) this one is
still beautifully written and the message as intense. A great tribute to your Husband who's God's blessing to you.

How beautiful this is, realizing that the one who stands by your side is always there for you as you are for him. Perhaps his advice of slowing down, just a bit, is good advice to continue sharing a life built by two....
Fantastic photograph, looking good!

Be always safe,

Karen

That man besides you looks like a Marine and your look is like asking, "should I?" yes girl, smile or I will tell Fee you don't.
And for that special man...keep on loving!

Rose,
Your hubby sounds like a special, understanding man, I hope you heed what he says and slow down and smell the roses. The dust and the unmade bed aren't going anywhere, they'll be there when you get time to do them. Relax and enjoy your life, dear heart. We only get one chance at life on this earth, savor it. God bless you, Rose.

Many blessings,
~Linda

Well cuz, this is just great, I am glad you are starting to listen to that man of yours...lol
Seriously though, like the advice you always give me, it is better sometimes to listen to the body and not the mind. When we are gone no one will really care if the laundry was done or the house was dusty, nor will we be remembered for whether we had a few dirty dishes in the sink...but we will be remembered for always being there with a smile and a hug...which you do so well.
hugs your big cousin,
Fee
