It seems that since we have moved here, something takes over my every moment of everyday. I turn around and another day is gone and I feel as though I have accomplished nothing

Lost & Lonely In Time
October 5, 2009
Written By: Rose Marie Rideout

As we stroll through our busy life
we realize all the things we are missing
Our friends, our family and
the beauty that surround us.

I woke up this morning
I felt lost and lonely
I know I haven’t had time to sit
To relax or enjoy your company.

Life seem to have changed
Every second, every hour, everyday
Consumned with the needs of many
Always something to take up my day.

I just thought it was time for me
I`ll take this moment for me and you
Life disappears one second at a time
Before we know there’s nothing left.

I cook & clean & sort
I write, I sew,  I try to spend time with
Family,  friends, and the seniors
Doing what I can to please all.

But today I am lost and lonely
Today I need to be with you
My AD family and dear friends
For I know you are always there.

Every time I move there is a period of time, I guess, for adjusting. Out of sorts and yes, no time for anything. Really related here. Liz

Rose,
Every word and thought in this rings true, clearly from the heart and soul, and your honesty and directness are admirable. Yes, you have family here, your AD family who love and respect you.

Dear Rose, it is a reciprocal feeling with the AD family. Yesterday it was my turn to write about AD family and platform. But I did not succeed to write my poem as nicely as you wrote. But knowing that the AD family is always here, gives me courage to continue writing. Love Emile

Embracing You Sweet Den Sister...and busy den sister!
I myself am down to the last of my harvesting/canning...
I used to love to sew, knit, crochet...
In all you do...always take a moment for you & that is everyday
even just 5 minutes...to absorb all the love & goodness in you life
You deserve it....
Love & Blessings

How true your poem reads Rose. The busier we are the faster time goes. We all need to slow down and take time to just be and now and than let a day or two just drift. All those "have to's" will get done.

I've felt that way so many times Dear Rose, after a move of which there have been too many. Sending you my love, a hug and a prayer for much beauty in your day.

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Rose - I know what you're saying.

Karla.

We're here - I'll leave the light on. :)

"The times they are a changing..." Mr. Dylan once nasally drawled to a generation of teenagers (us). Yes cuz sometimes it seems like we are sitting in a speeding car doing all the right things...steering breaking, watching for road signs etc etc etc but not knowing where we are going or when we can finally park that old car. Then again maybe we are afraid of what will happen when we pull the keys out...will it ever start again.
Look forward to seeing you for dinner on Sunday

It's always difficult to adapt to new surroundings, Rose, but you are doing it one day at a time. I felt the emotional turmoil in your poem very deeply. You are correct though, your AD family is ALWAYS her and we'll offer support and comfort.

Hugs,
Anna

Rose,

Moving from a familiar place to a new one is hard. You have shown this difficult transition so well.

We are here, if not in body than in spirit, Rose. Time... I find the older I get the faster time goes. There is so much to do in a new home but even so, the minutes, hours, days, weeks and months go by in the blink of an eye. I have said for years that there are only two days of a year, the Fourth of July and Christmas and for me all between are a complete blur. It does become depressing at times but, truly, other than accepting, time is going to go no matter what you do.
Your friend, Mark.

Getting old is a bitch (pardon my French!) When young the days couldn't go away fast enough, now the days go like pulling our fingernails because we know for sure they ain't coming back!
Tell Fee to dish a tune that can break the back of your blues.

You have God; lean on Him when you feel lonely; He will never forsake or abandon you; it says that in His Word! And know you have us to see you through the lonely times; a rather sad write from you, Rose! Hope you are okay; you are ever in my prayers/thoughts! Well done!

(((HUGS))), much love, and prayers~

As always, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

Yes, Rose, we are always here. Beautiful write and somewhat sad, about how time often slips away...that's why it's always so very important to take time to do those things we love best.
