As Innocent As The New Born Babe

With the stir of emotion, I hear your voice,
I see that smile you've always shared with me,
As innocent as the new born babe,
I accept your ways , your love so innocently.

Good morning, I say with a usual sheepish grin,
Knowing the thoughts that occure in my mind,
Knowing there is and always will be, only one of you,
Thankful I’ve known you for a long, long time.

What did I do before there was you,
A part of my life, I wouldn’t undo,
Important, as innocent as the new born babe,
The difference in my life and  world you’ve made.

Naked I come before you with my words,
My smile you accept and my seductive way,
Yet as innocent as the new born babe,
Loving you as you love me yes,  for another day.

Days and months are slowly turning into years,
Each day more precious then the one before.
Wanting to live life with you in it, accepting you,
 As innocent as the new born babe and so much more.

We've aged but we're still young at heart,
I love you more today, then I did in all the yesterdays,
You still look at me with that twinkle in your eye,
I know, it's as innocent as a new born babe.
