My husband and I are 70 years old, we have 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great. We only have 2 Grandchildren who live in NS where we live. We love them dearly but they never call to say hello. We are the only Grandparents they have. WE feel they have forgotten us.

Our Many Little Loves

May 14, 2025

By Rose Marie Rideout

Where have our little ones gone,

We love them so, that can't be so wrong.

They were always our pride and joy.

One little girl, the other a little boy.

I remember when many years ago,

I watched over them, as I loved that so.

Their parents worked long days,

I played with them in so many ways.

We played music which they did enjoy,

We went for walks this little girl and boy.

I took so many pictures to share,

For those little ones, we surely did care.

Today they have grown up so fast,

In a world of their own forever will last.

I wonder if  they take time to think of us,

For once over us they made a fuss.

They spent hours with us over their time,

We knew they were special and kind.

But it seems to us now as they've grown,

They don't realize how it make us feel  alone.

I know that now we're getting old,

But that's part of life or so we are told.

We miss you and we can't understand,

What we did to our little lady and our little man.
