Remember When

When I look back through the years,
I see the life we had to live.
The rough times and the good,
We never had too much to give.

Our hearts were so filled with love,
We shared it willingly with each child.
They had food and a roof overhead.
But the hard times was just for a while.

You soon joined the Military Dear,
So you could give us a better life. 
Knowing that you would be away,
From your children and your wife. 

The children soon grew up,
Through the years, they left home.
As each left it broke our hearts,
In our elder years to be alone.

Today we still remember when,
Years ago, how our love had a start.
Starting our family together with love,
We knew we would never part.
