A road paved in the middle of the desert,
melting under the hellish heat.
The world is sticky
under my feet.

"Do I need them to move on?"

Nothing is solid:
there is more void than matter
where you and I stand.

"Do I need asphalt concrete?"

I just let go:
oceans of waste,
pestilential rivers
leave me unaffected.

Look, my skin is healthy,
my blood travels
to irrigate the fertile land
of my black-box-brain.

Even the air is a glue trap
and millions of human lives
agonize on the death camp
of sticky fly paper.

Yet, I don't need to belong,
to blindly follow the chemical scent
of fake flowers
and deadly illusions.

"Don't I need freedom to think?"

Let me be myself,
learn to trust what I don't see;
love and wisdom inside of me
and a taste for difference.

Each piece is unique,
still ready to fit in
the crazy mosaic, the picture,
that unified from afar,
will stand the test of time.

I see particles of mica
that shine together as one.
All around life is liquefied
if no one celebrates
the light inside.
