Have you seen
the snow, so rare, on top of
Mount Vesuvius?
Have you felt the refreshing warmth
of the paradoxical Mediterranean Sea?
When you are sitting, dreaming of the world,
feeling its fabric,
carried by a concave scent
traveling in a boat that sets you free,
you can come to me.
Immaterial perfection,
we both know that, sister,
is not part of this world
so
our meeting is the product
of our very mistakes
and
our will to improve
- ripening figs I ate
a taste I can share with you -
The only reason
why our souls can speak and listen
to each other
is because no matter how far you are,
a sigh, a whisper,
a fever, a frown,
a trace on white paper
and tangible hearts
make ethereal contents come
together.
This lyrical poem, especially the evocative line '...no matter how far you are,' within the final gradation style stanza, brought to mind a section of Yoko Ono's Air Talk:
'No matter how close we are there's always air between us,
It's also nice that air is something we all share,
No matter how far apart we are an air links us...'
It's upon the crest of this ethereal air that our souls communicate their mentally tangible attributes and traits.
Love for you brother, and also for your fellow man shows in this poem. Encouragement too and love so true. Feeling from the heart and giving him a start.
This is the thing about poetry that works; it's so very personal but can be experienced as real, sensitive, sensual, amused feeling by a stranger at literal ethereal distance. Come together right now, over e.

This poem shows the dynamic relationship between sisters and the point that relationships have an ebb and flow that always leads to a connection beyond the physical (Spirit, Heart and Mind)

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!

They got a good airing-out.
white-hemmed edges billow out like sails in the breeze...
and I, on the inside looking out,
climbed inside my gravy boat,
and I rowed to some faraway shore
with my ladle-oar...
I paddled though grass raspy-dry,
and waist-deep--
(the rest is on my site) Thank you, Sister!
