Here I go,
I'm eating again:
A roast beef sandwich
On wheat
With fruit for dessert.
At least its not my nemesis,
Chocolate.
But oh!
How I adore it!
The love of my life,
It fills the empty places
With empty calories
And fills my clothes
Beyond capacity.
A messy divorce we're having
As I learn to live a new life
Without its destructive comforts.
Come to me, it whispers
From the Valentine aisle,
You know you want me.
Aye, I do, I say in reply,
But I want to live a long time
More.
I have a dear friend who would say she knows exactly what you're talking about. I, too, love chocolate - it doesn't like me, so I only have a piece now and then. Bummer!
Oh, Rebecca, bless your heart and I do know just what you go through! It occurs to me I should start talking to all the foods that mess me up too! I am gonna try it!
be well and happy and good luck in your battles,
Kathy
