Try it, friends said,
Pull yourself off the shelf
And place an ad
In the personals column;
You never know what might happen.
So I did.
Men came
And they looked.
Did they bother reading the ad?
Silly me,
Thinking men might have changed
Since I last peeked out of my hole.
Who wants a fat, middle-aged spinster
With no experience, anyway?
So I'll just crawl back into my hole
And forget this experiment
In futility.
Grrrrrrrrrrr ... makes me mad. Why can't people accept us for whom we are? Not easy losing weight - I know - nooo, they want skinny/skinny fit - everything is blamed on obesity - well, I've another - men's attitude towards women!!!! Sad commentary on today's "NARROW MINDED" society - well done.
