Says the Bible
To the faithful
And I guess I should
Take those words
To heart;
But I am
So full of doubts
In myself
That Fear often overruns
My ability to believe
In spiritual security.
How do I
Reach past my shortcomings
And take the hand of Him
Who waits so patiently
For me to grow faith
As large
As a mustard seed?
Thought provoking question - when the storms are approaching, the fear overrules common sense - only when the storm is over can I relax - I felt this one deep. The ending particularly moving - thank you. Saving this one.
oh Rebecca, how well you echo the fears of many who feel they are not worthy or able to be all that God expects when all, I think, He really expects is the sincerest effort. We may doubt ourselves but He knows better, since He made us, yes? Besides if we just turn to Him He will carry us in His strong arms.
