Wonderful write, saw some kites a few days ago--and right before March, too! :) It was warm enough for kites, and yesterday, had no jacket, just a tee shirt and jeans; today, heavy sweatshirt and thicker jeans and gloves! NUTS!! Yesterday tornado warnings west of here; today forecasting two INCHES of S N O W!!!! That's Texas for you; gotta' love it!! LOL (I like the latter better!)

Ahhhhhhhhhh...the winds of March!! Had them, yesterday - sustained at 30, gusting to 45 - tornado watches/warnings last night - today, snow?!??? NUTZ! Beautifully imaged playfulness in these wonderful lines, Rebecca, well done!
I love kites and this poem brings back so many memories of my childhood. As windy as our weather is in Texas today, this would be a nice kite day, if it wasn't so stormy, too. Here's to the innocence of youth and to your sweet, sweet poem, Rebecca.
